Releve sale!

Just an FYI - Releve is having it's anuual Anniversary sale this Saturday. They'll be giving 20% off of all in-stock merchandise, as well as having various events throughout the day. 

They're also participating in the tax-free weekend in August, but a 20% discount is probably a better deal, unless you need to order something! :)

Mini Summer Intensive

For those who haven't seen it, there are 2 1-week summer intensives for the 6-8 year olds on the schedule - one the last week of June and the other the week after July 4th. They are 9:30-11am.

Miss Bela is also teaching ballet on Tuesdays! If you want to get one last class in with Miss Bela before she leaves for Florida, this is a great opportunity to do so!

Costumes are in!

I saw them! The Jazz and Tap costumes are in the studio and I'm sure will be tried on and taken home tonight! They look great - I think the girls will look awesome on stage!

Releve Deals!

The private sale at Releve was tonight, and it was pretty cool. Bela and Tracy were on hand and were pretty helpful in making sure the Minis go the right shoes. Pink ballet tights are in stock, but the Suntan color tights for Lyrical and Tap/Jazz had to be special ordered. We ordered, paid and got the discount - but you can probably get as good a deal on Discount Dance.

During the event, Bela and Tracy decided the Mini Lyrical girls will be wearing Foot Undeez instead of the Dance Paws for Lyrical. They couldn't get the non-padded style that were preferred, so they decided to go with the Undeez instead.

The Bloch Super Jazz shoes were fun to fit - the smallest size available is a 10, and that was still too big for some of the girls! So if you haven't gone in to get them yet, make sure you go and have them fitted, as they apparently don't run true to size.

If you missed the sale, you might still be in luck - Releve in Holly Springs is closing on November 21. Current stock is all 60% off. I don't know if they have anything we need, but it might be worth the drive!

Updated Recital Info

Tracy sent out the recital costume info in advance of this weekend's private sale at Releve. Here's the info for the ballet classes the Mini's attend:

Tights: Capezio ballet pink footed or transition tights
Shoes: pink leather ballet shoes


The last newsletter also mentioned that the Recital is moving to June 5th. I'll be adding these dates to the calendar.

WCDE Fees Due!

Just a reminder - Tracy wants fees for West Coast Dance Explosion by the end of the week! Fees for the Mini room are $95 (3 classes on Saturday).

Mini Shoe and Tight Update

Here's the information from the Mini Shoe and Tight Update sheet:

Tights-
Jazz/Tap/Hip Hop - Capezio convertible or footed - Suntan
Lyrical - Capezio stirrup tights - Suntan
Ballet (recital only) - TBD

Shoes -
Jazz - Bloch  S0401G Super Jazz - Tan
Tap - Black lace-up/oxford-style shoes - brands and styles I've found are: Capezio Tapster, SoDanca TA04, Dance Now Student Tap Oxford
Lyrical - Dance Paws (DP1 without padding, not DPP with padding)
Production - TBD. Miss Andrea will be picking out tennis shoes.
Ballet (recital only) - pink ballet shoes

Hair -
Miss Tracy says, "It's time to let hair grow a bit. Hair that reaches the bottom of the neck/top of the shoulders will be a good length. Keeping everyone's hair approximately the same length will help them look more uniform. We will be working on hair at the lock-in."

Note: Releve may or may not have items in stock at this time. Tracy sent over the list so that it will be available for the TDAA shopping day on Saturday, Nov 21 at 5pm.
